Candle sales have raised over $2000 for 3rd year in a row

SES has started a candle fundraiser to complete the new playground. “We need the community’s support on this fundraiser to get it done.” States Tonya Eddy, playground committee chairperson. “We already have the playground equipment on site waiting to be installed. But before we can install it, we need to do some site prep, which consists of a lot of fill dirt to make the playground level for the play equipment, and so it will drain properly. We are also doing this fundraiser to help pay for a supervisor from Gametime. The supervisor will be onsite from the company to ensure the equipment is installed correctly and safely. With a successful fundraiser, we can have the equipment ready for the children to use this spring!”

The Home and Garden Party fundraiser will run from Jan 16th through Jan 29^th. The children are selling 10 oz jar candles for $7.00 each. The school will make $4.00 off of each candle sold, which is an extra dollar more earned than last year. Home and Garden Party and Lloyd and Jan Ebbert, fundraising coordinators, are donating an extra dollar per candle to the fund so that we can get the project finished.

Home and Garden Party is a party plan business that also does fundraisers of all kinds. We have tailored our fundraising for the needs of the group. The candle fundraiser is the most simple so it is perfect for the children. The Ebberts are making additional donations to the fund for parties scheduled off the fundraiser and designers that join the team as a result of the fundraiser. We have a catalog with over 800 items. The candle scents are Spiced Apple, Morning Dew, Crème Brulee, Fruit Tart, Hawaiian Sunset, Coconut Smoothie, Cherry Lemonade, Americana Apple Pie, Jelly Donut, Hot Cinnamon Rolls, White Rain, Pear Blossom, Carrot Cake, Creamy Vanilla, and Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. Addendum: Feb 7, 2007 A total of $2598 was raised this year by the fundraiser.
